Meet the Western Australia Cohort

Doughnut Analytics

An all-in-one solution for local governments and communities to track holistic performance indicators. The web platform helps measure ecological ceilings (planetary boundaries) and social foundations at the local level with minimal effort, and provides proven pathways of improvement by removing barriers, using gamification, and promoting local knowledge sharing and community action.

Evaporation Denial and Soil Modification

The purpose of the invention is to solve the problem of evaporation of water from the surface of the land in the demand of plants and agriculture.
There are three possible market applications:

  • Irrigation evaporation waste and uneconomic problems caused by evaporation of water from the land surface needed for plant growth, as well as drought of plants. For example, irrigation requirements and evaporation waste in green grasslands
  • In the demand of agricultural planting, the waste of irrigation evaporation and uneconomic problems caused by evaporation of land surface, as well as the drought of crops.
  • In the desert areas with groundwater, the irrigation waste and uneconomic problems of surface evaporation and the drought of plants are faced by the requirements of revegetation.

Fibre Economy

A circular recycling service targeting PPE workwear within large companies. By extending the life of unwanted PPE workwear, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, water usage and pollution produced by textile waste in landfill.

Intensive Fields Lab

A cloud integrated platform that uses building information modelling to track construction, maintenance, occupation and recycling of timber buildings. Intensive Fields Lab wants to turn our timber structures into cloud data, allowing us to reduce waste, optimize utilities’ usage and maintenance, and dramatically cut down the reliance on GHG- emitting materials.

Low-Cost Magnetic Energy Storage

Cost-effective energy storage is the critical key for increasing renewable integration. At the moment, the unit cost of energy storage is not that level to enable very high level of renewable penetration. This idea is about an energy storage device for residential and commercial customers which is affordable enough to trigger the next level of renewable integration

New Hybrid Filters

New Hybrid Filters’ products offer many advantages such as high chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, corrosionresistance, wear resistance and light weight. They can be used in industrial plants for filtration, absorption,catalysis and heat exchange such as in the diesel engine filtration system to decrease the CO2 emission.

NOBILL

NOBILL is developing the first “Building Integrated Energy Storage” (BIES) system that stores the extra produced by Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) power by battery and hydrogen. This integrated system:

  • is part of the building infrastructure and therefore doesn’t occupy any additional space and is visually appropriate;
  • intergrates a unique Artificial Intelligence (AI) energy management system controls and manages energy input/output for both daily and seasonal changes based on various fixed and flexible inputs;
  • contains a dual outlet Electrical Vehicle (EV) charging station.
