As an early stage start-up, small- to medium-sized enterprise, researcher, student, public organisation, consultant or anyone else you’re welcome.

We encourage you to apply as a team of at least 2 people. You don’t have a team mate, yet? You can still apply and if successful invite a colleague or friend to attend the Boot Camp with you.

Please ensure you meet the Eligibility Criteria :

What happens with my idea?

Your idea stays yours. 100%. We just help you train and compete.

What are the costs?

The full program is free of charge for anyone within Australia accepted into the competition. The boot camps will be delivered in a hybrid in-person and online through Zoom, and it is up to you to have the relevant software installed and adequate internet to participate.

Remind me, what can I win?

Prizes in the National and Regional Finals differ per country and region. Of course there will also be prizes (cash or in kind) for the Global Grand Final winners. The big prize? A bunch of new acquired skills & knowledge and networking opportunities to get your business thriving. And of course infinite glory. All prize-winners are responsible for any taxes, wire transfer costs and other possible costs related to receiving the prize.

Climate-KIC Australia supports the most promising start-ups through various pipelines and pathways with our many national partners. Participating in the Australian ClimateLaunchpad can also give you access into other competitions, Pre- and Accelerator Programs, social impact programs and other networks.

In 2021, we’re excited to be able to offer a development grant worth $50,000 to a finalist team (the Successful Team) using emerging tech to tackle climate change, thanks to Humanitech (the Sponsor). The Development Grant is donated by the Telstra Foundation and is subject to terms and conditions. The Successful Team is subject to the approval of the Telstra Foundation, which it may grant or withhold at its absolute discretion. The Sponsor is not liable to facilitate the awarding of the Development Grant without prior approval from the Telstra Foundation.
