Behive is an innovative engagement network to encourage environmentally responsible behaviour. Using a web platform and drop off places (business partners in the hive), residents can win vouchers and exchange them for rewards from the City Council and local retailers. This idea aims to promote recycling and environmental responsibility among residents directly rewarding correct environmental actions. Recycling also plays an important part in achieving the climate change objectives, by reducing the amount of waste going to landfill, and subsequent greenhouse gas emissions.
To facilitate the transformation of the grid to wind and solar, Complete Solar Automation Solutions (CSAS) aims to develop a controller which will utilize existing (and proven) large scale battery energy storage and inverter technology (Delta, ABB, Sungrow etc. PCS units) to directly address the issues above as well as provide a range of behind the meter applications such as increasing self-consumption from excess Solar PV, reducing maximum demand and backup power to critical loads which provide further investment opportunities.

Fasade helps customers reduce their growing CO2 emissions through better cloud data management practices. There is a great deal of unnecessary or redundant data that an enterprise stores (around 80% of the total amount), and Fasade is an online tool that aggregates, audits and then helps to reduce this data, allowing organisations to reduce GHG emissions in the process.
Whirl digital platform empowers its customers to build confidence in new technologies (starting with electric cars and their chargers), supporting you in as you learn what you need to know to get ready to buy. Clean energy technologies are most impactful when they form an eco-system. However, they are sold separately and the process for home-own to acquire them piece by piece is complex, stressful and poorly designed. Creating a digital end-to-end model for consumers alleviates the “piecing it together” in a way that works for the customer.
Rent Vintage Wisdom is an online vintage clothing rental service for one off special occasions and a subscription box for everyday vintage clothing. Clothing is sourced from the original owners or their families and the stories of the people who first wore it are shared with renters. The service is supported by a physical workroom for intergenerational skills exchange to increase knowledge around mending and textiles care to prolong the life of garments. Garments are directed away from landfill and the rag trade, keeping them as part of the circular economy as a shared resource and reducing the consumption of single wear fashion.
