A Canberra-based cleantech start-up is set to take the global stage this week, as they compete against 15 of the top green start-ups from across the globe. Spark3D have developed a 3D printer that enables them to print fully functional electronics components, using less material input and producing less waste.

This research has investigated the policy landscape, both internationally and here in Australia, to identify what has been implemented to date. It is clear that policy has a key role to play, as does strong acton by industry, if we are to reach an emissions trajectory consistent with the Paris Agreement.

An alliance of more than 100 property, community, health and environmental organisations has today issued a forceful call to the country’s Building Ministers to lift the energy efficiency of new homes built in Australia. The powerful joint statement, released two weeks ahead of a National Building Ministers meeting, urges the Commonwealth, State and Territory Ministers to use the meeting to confirm amendments to the National Construction Code.
